Lady Rider Competition

Lady Rider Competition May 2025

Lady Rider 2025 campaign overall winner Jade Vernon, being presented her winners voucher by WAWMR Secretary Angela Bowman.

Jade learned of the Lady Rider campaign through a local Perth Hills community page on Facebook. The campaign immediately resonated with her as she’s a mobile nurse so spends a lot of time on the road.

• Motorcycle safety is particularly important to her as her husband commutes to work on a motorcycle and she believes “everyone has a family or friends they need to come home to”.

• Jade’s 5-year-old daughter Florence, is also a budding “Lady Rider”, often zooming around the front garden on her signature black and pink pedal-powered replica motorbike. So future road safety is important to her family.

• Despite having many practical things she’d like to spend her voucher on, we hope Jade will take her husband’s excellent advice to “spend it on something nice for yourself.”

Jade was made aware of the yearly campaign in 2023 via her local Hills Chat FB group, but this was the first year she has managed to spot a Lady Rider.

There were 18 ladies riding, with most days having 14 active riders, this year the ladies covered a distance of 5,770kms over the week. Lady Riders were spotted in Yanchep, as far south as Wellard and up into Mundaring. Keep your eyes peeled early May 2026 for your chance!

Below are the daily winners and the major prize winner for the week.
